SAYANLiVE is the creative portal which acts as a little outlet between my mind and the world around me
SAYANLiVE is an honest attempt to translate my thoughts, ideas, and emotions into different languages of art – cinematography, sound, visual, written – practically every form I’m capable of understanding.
Hi, I’m Sayan
And, SAYANLiVE is the reflection of myself.
I’m a teenager.
I’m trying to reach out to the world and hopefully deliver an experience of looking at things through a different lens. I’m moved by expressions of human intellect through any forms of art.
My purpose is to turn my mental picture into a readable form of art, in a way to capture the momentary surge of ideas and emotions… So that I can look back at these works of art and essentially teleport back to that exact moment in my life and be able to experience the exact same emotions over and over again.
But in the beginning, things were a lot different.
From Tech-Geek to Creative
It all started with an unexpected turn of events…
I’m a Digital artist, mainly working in 3D editing and rendering. Since, the beginning… I’ve been using an open-source software called blender.
I started at the age of 13 and things slowly got rolling two years after that… when I decided to go online with my art.
So, I started putting my works online.
I launched my own blog: boundlessblending.com
It was hosted on Blogger back then.
I never considered myself as an artist before that day. I was in fact, pretty bad at copying my art teacher at school…
Though I wrote ‘artist’ in my bio everywhere I had this concept in the back of my mind that I was nothing more than a post-modern tech geek.
Fast forward to 2017…
My online audience grew large… more than I could have ever imagined. People started appreciating my works. I also got featured on several immensely popular websites.
Though all these events took place within the boundaries of the 3D-Artists’ World… people seemed to love my art in general.
That was enough for me to get excited.
Then I started noticing my concept sketches were getting better and better…
Up until this point, things were still in a balance. But then… something super strange happened. Completely out of the box!
We had this rule in school… till the 10th standard… that every student needs to write a daily page of handwriting.
That’s pretty simple and boring. Especially ‘coz we had to literally copy paragraphs from our books.
I don’t do boring things for a long time. I either stop doing that or make it interesting.
So I made it interesting…
I thought about writing stuff on my own. New ideas and experiences… a linguistic expression and a reflection of my thoughts on paper. Of course, it was against the rule but my teacher didn’t seem to notice or maybe didn’t bother enough.
I too never wanted this thing to be known by too many people as it was against the rule.
But one day my math teacher came across this copy and read through one of the pages… and then turned to the next one… and to the next one… till he reached the last page.
He found the style unique and seemed to be quite impressed by my stuff – which I never even considered to be worthwhile.
He advised me to make it into a book or at least make a digital copy of it to avoid losing it. After that, the idea blew up and some of my classmates too started liking the style.
This was a punch in my face. Though it wasn’t too huge, this day made it clear that I’m not merely a tech geek (though that’s cool too).
I’m an ARTIST!
Launching my Personal Brand
AM I A REAL ARTIST?
I still don’t know but I’m sure I’m always fascinated by expressions. I love expressing my thoughts in as many different forms I can.
Any creative work – written, painted, filmed, recorded, whatever… I’m fascinated by that. I love to look into my mind through these mediums. That’s me. So I took a bold decision.
I launched a new website… a completely separate brand.
That gave birth to SAYANLiVE and the website.
Rewinding through the past few years of my life, I can assure you about one thing:
You don’t have to do only one thing. You can do so many different things. You never know how much gold you are yet to discover in yourself.
And don’t worry about naming your profession…
‘Coz for all these things I love – art, writing, podcasting, filming….
I’ve found a single definition – CREATOR !
